Bible Truth for the Remnant Church

#1 The Book of Books

Why is the Bible a special book?

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16

The Bible is a collection of 66 books written by 40 authors who are guided by God through the Holy Spirit, they came from all walks of like and for over a period of 1,500 years and in languages of Hebrews, Aramaic and Greek. It was the first book to be printed in 1455 using the movable type. Today it is still considered as the world’s best-selling book, with 100 million copies sold annually and translated in 3,000 dialects. It continues to inspire, to give hope, to change lives, to bring people closer to God, and to leave behind a sinful life and by grace live in holiness and righteousness in Christ.

Why is it profitable to study this sacred book?

“The holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:15

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart.” Jeremiah 15:16

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39

What is the central theme of the Bible and who is our only way of escape from sin?

“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” John 20:31

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19

In the Scripture, the entrance of sin was shown and the curse that followed because of it but God in His tender mercies and love send Christ Jesus unto the world to redeem us. If we repent and come back to God and receive Christ as our Savior, God’s grace transforms us teaching us to break free from sin and live righteously according to the Bible, we become new sons and daughters of God.
