Bible Truth for the Remnant Church

The Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus

Key Texts: Revelation 12:17; Revelation 14:12; John 14:15

Doctrinal Teaching:

The remnant described in Revelation 12:17 is identified by two key characteristics:

  1. They keep the commandments of God
  2. They have the testimony of Jesus Christ

The commandments of God include the moral law, summarized in the Ten Commandments. This law remains binding, not as a means of salvation, but as the fruit of a loving relationship with Christ (John 14:15).

Central to this obedience is the Seventh-day Sabbath, God’s eternal sign of creation, redemption, and loyalty (Exodus 20:8–11; Ezekiel 20:12). In an age of confusion, Sabbath observance distinguishes God’s faithful people and restores true worship.

The testimony of Jesus is understood as the Spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10), which points believers back to Scripture, Christ, and practical godliness.

In the home church movement, doctrine is not merely taught—it is lived. Families become discipleship centers, and truth is passed down faithfully from generation to generation.
